VHS+ started with my mom’s tapes

Hi there,

Last year, my mom decided to digitize decades of our family tapes. The big-name services put her off — confusing box pricing, weeks of silence, no idea whose hands her tapes were in. These tapes held the only recordings of voices we can’t get back. “No idea” wasn’t good enough.

So I built a proper capture setup and did them myself, one tape at a time. The day she watched that footage again, I understood this isn’t a tech problem. It’s a trust problem.

Is it really safe to mail my tapes?

Every shipment is tracked and insured both ways, and we email you a photo the moment your tapes arrive. One person handles your order from open to return.

What if I'm not happy with the results?

We digitize your first tape and send it to you to review before doing the rest. If you're not happy with it, ask for a full refund — no questions asked. You only continue if you love what you see.

What tapes do you accept?

Standard full-size VHS only, for now. VHS-C, Hi8, and MiniDV are coming — join the waitlist.

How long does it take?

About two weeks from the day your tapes arrive, plus shipping each way. We email you at every milestone.

What if a tape is moldy or damaged?

We assess it and contact you before doing anything. If it can't be safely captured, you don't pay for that tape — and it still comes home.

What if a tape is blank?

Blank tapes are free. Unlabeled tapes are a mystery to everyone.

Will anyone watch my videos?

Spot-checked for capture quality only. Never watched for content, never shared, deleted 30 days after you confirm your download.
